6 And when the difciples heard it they fell on their faces, and were fore afraid.

7 And Jefus came and touched them, and faid, Arife, and be not afraid.

8 And when they had lifted up their eyes they saw no man, fave Jefus only.

9 And, as they came down from the mountain, Jefus charged them, faying, Tell the vifion to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead.

to And his disciples asked him, faying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come?

11 And Jefus anfwered and faid unto them, Elias truly fhall firft come, and reftore all things.

Of paying tribute

19 Then came the difciples to Jefus apart, and faid, Why could not we caft him out?

20 And Jefus faid unto them, Becaufe of your unbelief: for verily I fay unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard-feed, ye fhall fay unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it fall remove; and nothing shall be impoffible unto you.

21 Howbeit, this kind goeth not cut bus by prayer and fafting.

22 And while they abode in Galilee, Jetus faid unto them, The Son of man fhall be betrayed into the hands of men;

23 And they fhall kill him, and the third day he shall be raised again. And they were exceeding forry.

24¶ And when they were come 12 But I fay unto you, That Elias to Capernaum, they that received is come already, and they knew tribute-money came to Peter, and ́ him not; but have done unto him faid, Doth not your Mafter pay whatsoever they lifted: likewife tribute? shall alfo the Son of man fuffer of them.

13 Then the difciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptift.

14. And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certain man, kneeling down to him, and faying,

15 Lord, have mercy on my fon; for he is lunatick, and fore vexed: for oft-times he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water.

25 He faith, Yes. And when he was come into the house Jefus prevented him, faying, What thinkeft thou, Simon? Of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers?

26 Peter faith unto him, Offtrangers. Jefus faith unto him, Then are the children free.

27 Notwithstanding, left we fhould offend them, go thou to the fea, and caft an hook, and take up the fish that firft cometh up; and when thou haft opened his mouth, thou fhalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for

16 And I brought him to thy difciples, and they could not cure him. 17 Then Jefusanfwered and faid, O faithlefs and perverfe generation! how long fhall I be with you? me and thee. how long fhall I fuffer you? Bring him hither to me.

18 And Jefus rebuked the devil, and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very bour.

Of giving offences, 2 And Jefus called a little child unto him, and fet him in the midst of them,

17 And if he fhall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, Woe unto the world because let him be unto thee as an heathen of offences! foritmuft needs be that man and a publican. offencescome; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!

18 Verily I fay unto you, Whatfoever ye shall bind on earth fhall 8-Wherefore, if thy hand or thy be bound in heaven; and whatfoot offend thee, cut them off, and

21 Then came Peter to him, and faid, Lord, how oft fhall my brother fin against me, and I forgive him? till feven times?

22 Jefus faith unto him, I fay not unto thee, Until feven times; but, Until feventy times feven.

23. Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account. of his fervants.


12 How think ye? If a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone aftray, doth he not leave And when he had begun to the ninety and nine, and goeth into reckon, one was brought unto him the mountains, and feeketh that which owed him ten thousand which is gone aftray?

28 But the fame fervant went out, and found one of his fellowfervants which owed him an hunred pence; and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, Taying, Pay me that thou oweft.

29 And his fellow-fervant fell down at his feet, and befought him laying, Have patience with ne, and I will pay thee all.

30 And he would not; but went and caft him into, piifon till ke should pay the debt.

31 So when his fellow-fervants faw what was done they were very forry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done.

32 Then hislord, after that he had called him, faid unto him, O thou wicked fervant, I forgave thee all that debt,becaufethoudefiredft me:

33 Should not thou also have had compaffion on thy fellow-fervant, even as I had pity on thee?

34 And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he fhould pay all that was due unto him.

55 So likewife fall my heavenly Father do alfo unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trefpaffes.

s And faid, for this caufe hall a man leave father and mother, and fhall cleave to his wife: and they twain thall be one flesh ?

6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What, therefore, God hath joined together, let not man put afunder.

7 They fay unto him, Why did Mofes then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away?

8 He faith unto them, Mofes, because of the hardness of your hearts, fuffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not fo.

9 And I fay unto you, Whosoever fhall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and fhall marry another, committeth adultery: and whofo marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.

10 His difciples fay unto him, If the cafe of the man be fo with his wife, it is not good to marry.

II But he faid unto them, AN men cannot receive this faying, fave they to whom it is given

12 For there are fome eunuche, which were fo born from their mothers womb; and there are fome eunuchs, which weremade eunuchs of men; and there be eunuchs, which have made them!elves eumuchs for the kingdom of heaven's fake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.

18 He faith unto him, Which? Jefus faid, Thou fhalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adaltery, Thou fhalt not fteal, Thou fhalt not bear falfe witnefs.

mother; and, Thou shalt love thy

neighbour as thy felf.

20 The young man faith unto nim, all thefe things have f kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? 21 Jefus faid unto him, If thou wilt be perfect go and fell that thou haft, and give to the poor, and thou fhalt have treasure in heaven; and come and follow me.

12 But when the young man heard that faying he went away forrowful: for he had great poffeffions.

23 Then faid Jefus unto his difciples, Verily I fay unto you,

27 Then anfwered Peter, and faid unto him, Behold, we have for. faken all, and followed thee; what fhall we have therefore?

28 And Jefus faid unto them, Verily I fay unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration, when the Son of man fhall fit in the throne of his glory, ye alfo fhall fit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Ifrael.

29 And every one that hath for laken houfes, or brethren, or fifters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's fake, fhall receive an hundred-fold, and fhall inherit everlafting life.

11 And when they had received it they murmured against the goodman of the house,

12 Saying, Thefelaft have wrought but one hour, and thou haft made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day.

13 But he answered one of them, and faid,Friend,Idothee nowrong: didft not thou agree with me for a penny?

14 Take that thine is, and gothy way: I will give unto this laft even

24 And when the ten heard it they were moved with indignation against the two brethren.

25 But Jefus called them unto him, and faid, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.

26 But it shall not be foamong you: but whofoever will be great among you, let him be your minifter;

27 And whofoever will be chief among you, let him be your fervant:

28 Even as the Son of man came not to be miniftered unto, but to minifter, and to give his life a ranfom for many.

29¶ And as they departed from Jericho a great multitude followed him.

30 And, behold, two blind men fitting by the wayfide, when they heard that Jefus paffed by, cried out, faying, Have mercy on us, Ọ Lord, thou fon of David.
