τέροις· πάντες δὲ ἀλλήλοις ὑποτασσόμε Ομοίως νεώτεροι ὑποτάγητε πρεσβυ ὅτι ὁ Θεὸς ὑπερηφάνοις ἀντιτάσσεται, τα νοι, τὴν ταπεινοφροσύνην ἐγκομβώσασθε πεινοῖς δὲ δίδωσι χάριν.

There is a conspiracy of her prophets in the midst thereof, like a roaring lion ravening the prey: they have devoured souls ; they have taken the treasure and precious things; they have made her many widows in the midst thereof, Ezek. xxii. 25. Therefore I will be unto them as a lion; as a leopard by the way will I observe them. I will meet them as a bear that is bereaved of her whelps, and will rend the caul of their heart, and there will I devour them like a lion: the wild beast shall tear them, Hos. xiii. 7,8.

But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, 'stablish, strengthen, settle you.

And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ, 1 John v. 20.

Καὶ αὐτὸ τοῦτο δὲ σπουδὴν πᾶσαν παι ρεισενέγκαντες, ἐπιχορηγήσατε ἐν τῇ πίσω τει ὑμῶν τὴν ἀρετὴν, ἐν δὲ τῇ ἀρετῇ τὴν γνῶσιν,

peaceable life in all godliness and

but godliness is profitable unto all
things, having promise of the life that

Ταῦτα γὰρ ὑμῖν ὑπάρχοντα, καὶ πλεονάζοντα, οὐκ ἀργοὺς οὐδὲ ἀκάρπους καθίσ Ἰησοῦ Χρισ τησιν εἰς τὴν τοῦ Κυρίου ἡμῶν rou iwlyvwow.

But he that lacketh these things a is blind, and cannot see afar off, band hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
