And from the various calamities we meet with in life, may we learn to pity the distressed, to sympathize with the afflicted, to be patient under all the appointments of thy providence, and be excited to the pursuit of that happiness, which ariseth from the practice of virtue and piety, and from the glorious hope of immortality, which thou hast promised to the faithful followers of Jesus Christ our Lord.
