We liked the book, but remembering previous scorings received for expressing our honest opinion in a similar case, we determined to submit this book to those whose judgment and fairness can not be questioned. We therefore placed it in the hands of a lady physician of the strongest possible temperance principles, and who is further fitted for the task by years of successful teaching before she studied her profession, being thus prepared to judge of its adaptability to the school room.
