The second book is "Summario de la Naturale et generale Historia.. da Gonzalo Ferdinando [Fernandez] del Oviedo..." The third and last book is a translation of the narrative of Xerez concerning the conquest of Peru. The two maps are a General Map of the New World (which is in this copy a facsimile reproduction) and a special map of San Domingo. In the colophon to Book II, it is stated that the general map had been constructed from two Spanish maps, one of them drawn for Peter Martyr by Nuño Garcia de Toreno in Seville, the other by a different Pilot, also in Seville.
