Spring Flowers A Flower Calendar

Have you found any spring flowers? What did you find first? Tell where you found it. In what kind of place does it grow? Which do you think is the prettiest of the spring flowers? Where did you find them? Of how many spring flowers do you know the names? Describe one of them. Tell where it grows and where you have found it.

Should you like to keep a flower calendar on the blackboard? When you find a flower for the first time this spring, tell your teacher about it, and she will write on the blackboard the name of the flower, and after the name of the flower she will write your name and the date when you found it. Of course she will write only the name of the one who finds the flower first.

The Flower Game

The teacher may choose a pupil for leader. The leader may stand in front of the class and describe a spring flower. He should tell how large it is, the color, where it grows, the size of the plant, and anything else that he knows about it. The others may tell what flower he describes. The one who gives the right answer may be the next leader. The leader should begin by saying:

I am thinking of a flower
