Evolution of the Gods explains the probable origin of deities and how they have changed through history . . . from animistic beliefs to worship of sun, moon and stars to humanized deities (Zeus, Hera, Apollo, Aphrodite, Athena, etc.) and finally to the current universal gods (God the Father, Allah, Brahman, Ahura-Mazda, etc.) It shows how Jehovah, the tribal deity of the Israelites in the Old Testament could not possibly be the universal God of the Christians in the New Testament. And it explores the myths of religion some are probably true while others are undoubtedly early man's imaginative way of explaining the inexplicable.
