COMPLIN is said as usual, p. 80, only Alleluia is four times repeated at the end of the Psalm. The HYMN, LITTLE CHAPTER, and all the rest are omitted to the Nunc dimittis; and that Canticle is said without any Anthem; but at the end is added, Hæc dies, as above. And thus Complin is said till Saturday next. On this and the two following days, after Vespers, or at Benediction, in some Chapels, is sung this

IN

LESSON. Acts x. 37. 43.

N those days: Peter standing up in the midst of the people, said: you know, brethren, the word which came through all Judea, beginning from Galilee after the baptism which John preached: I mean Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed him with the Holy Ghost and with power, who went about doing good, and healing all, who were oppressed by the Devil, for God was with him. And we are witnesses of all the things he did in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem, whom they put to death, hanging him on a tree. But God raised him on the third day, and made him appear openly, not indeed to all the people, but to the witnesses pre-ordained by God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he arose from the dead. And he commanded us to preach to the people, and to testify to them, that it is he, who is appointed by God judge of the living and the dead. All the Prophets bear him this testimony; that all those, who believe in him, shall, thro' his name, receive the forgiveness of sins.

GRAD. This is the day the Lord hath made: come let us exult and rejoice thereon. V. Praise the Lord, for he is good and his mercy endureth for ever. Alleluia, Alleluia. V. Christ himself is become our Paschal sacrifice.

V. Let Israel now say, that the Lord is good: that his mercy endureth for ever. Alleluia, Alleluia. V. An Angel of the Lord came down from heaven, and coming to the monument, rolled back the stone, and sat on it.

Hæc dies quam fecit Dominus exultemus et lætemur in ea. V. Confitemini Domino, quoniam bonus: quoniam in sæculum misericordia ejus. Alleluia, Alleluia. V. Pascha nostrum immolatus est Christus.

V. Dicat nunc Israel, quoniam bonus: quoniam in sæculum misericordia ejus Alleluia, Alleluia. V. Angelus Domini descendit de cœlo, et accedens revolvit lapidem, et sedebat super

eum.
