womb of his natural mother, until the day of his natural birth, as well as the time of his spiritual conception in the womb of his spiritual mother, until the day of his spiritual birth-I say, that all that long period, both of the natural and spiritual creature, is ordered and appointed of God. And the times, which are but shadows in the life of the natural creature, are appointed to make manifest the appointed times of the spiritual creature. And by this very appointment of the Spirit, it will be made manifest unto the conscience of every man, that no man, except the man that was foreordained unto that end, could ever have known the Word of God according to the Spirit of Prophecy. Now this truth will at first appear, by shewing that July 12, 1812, according to the Spirit of Prophecy, is to be considered as December 13, 1812; that the Spirit of Prophecy respecting the number 1335 may be made manifest.

Now it is appointed of the Spirit that the sons of Kohath, from among the sons of Levi, shall bear the Tabernacle; but they shall not enter upon that service till they are thirty years old. Numbers iv. Now the meaning of Kohath is Congregation and Obedience; and Levi means Tied. That is to say, The sons of the congregation of obedience to the Voice of the Spirit, who are united to the Lord as a wife is united to her

husband, they shall not begin the service of the Lord till they are Thirty Years old.

Now spiritual obedience unto the Voice of the Spirit cannot take place until spiritual circumcision, and spiritual circumcision hath respect unto the heart and ears; that is, spiritually, the Thought and Understanding of spiritual things.

And when the creature begins to be changed in Thought and Understanding concerning spiritual things, from that time he begins to live in the sight of God. Therefore the day of circumcision is counted as the beginning of spiritual life of obedience unto the Voice of the Spirit.

Now this period of Thirty Years old after circumcision, in a sign of the same, is made manifest in me from the day of my natural birth on April 28, 1782.

It is appointed of God that the child eight days old shall be circumcised. In the spiritual times we shall have to make manifest relative to spiritual circumcision and spiritual weaning, it will appear that months are counted for days; and therefore in the sign of my circumcision, months are counted for days.

Now I say, that I was born on April 28, 1782, at seven o'clock in the morning, according to the testimony of my natural father and mother.

So then from April 28, 1782, unto December 24, 1782, are eight months of thirty days to the

month, and the month of thirty days is the month according to the Scriptures, and twelve months of thirty days to the month make one year. So then we do perceive, that according to the natural years of man, I am counted full thirty years old (after the sign of my circumcision, December 24, 1782,) on December 24, 1812.

But according to the Scripture year and month -I am counted full thirty years old (after the sign of my circumcision, December 24, 1782,) on July 20, 1812.

Now this difference of time is easily seen, and counted for our common year consists of 365 days or 366 in the leap years—therefore the days over and above 360 days in the thirty years makes the difference between the two periods of thirty years. Now in thirty years of 365 days, there are 150 days more than in years of 360 days; And it is perceived that the leap years in this period-are only seven; because the year 1800 was not counted as a leap year, that our estimate of time might be more correct. Thereforethe difference of the whole period is one hundred and fifty-seven days. And take away from December 24, 1812-one hundred and fifty-seven days; and July 20, 1812, will be the day; when I am thirty years old-according to years of 360 days to the year-considered from December 24,

1782.

Having seen thus much; it now remains to

shew that December 13, 1812, is spiritually perceived to be the same as December 24, 1812. And that July 12, 1812, is spiritually the same as July 20, 1812.

And having already shewn that July 20, 1812, is spiritually considered to be the same as December 24, 1812; in that both are thirty years; so shall we be enabled to perceive that July 12, 1812, is si ritually the same as December 13, 1812.

We have now arrived at that part of the Great Work, which makes it needful to shew forth a sign of the times appointed for the birth of the child of the Spirit. And these appointed times in the sign or shadow of the same are considered from the day of the natural birth unto the sign of the day of the spiritual birth.

Now it will appear that the appointed times for the birth of the child of the Spirit, are after the following order-Seven, Three, Seven, Seventy and One-and it will appear that these appointed times in many Visions, (for the Spirit hath multiplied both Visions and Similitudes, Hosea xii. 10,) do differ in quantity-sometimes the Shadow appearing greater than the substance; and in some the Shadow is less.

Now the sign of the times we are about to make manifest according to the order already stated-is found to begin from the noon of April 27, 1782, and to end at the noon of De

In all the Visions t heday begins at noon and ends at noon; therefore this Vision of time begins from the beginning of the day of my natural birth-called April 28, 1782, at seven in the morning. Seeing then that in all Visions the day is counted from noon till noon, therefore April 28, 1782, is counted to begin from the noon of April 27, and to end at the noon of April 28, 1782. Now these are the appointed times according to the quantities already named.

First, from April 27, 1782, unto June 27, 1801, are Seven thousand days,

Second, from June 27, 1801, to September 27, 1801, are Three full months.

Third, from September 27, 1801, to August 21, 1808, are Seven years of 360 days.

Fourth, from August 21, 1808, to December 24, 1809, are Seventy weeks.

Fifth quantity, from December 24, 1809, to December 24, 1810, One full year.

And now I say again, that the child of the Scriptures who is called out of Egypt-when he is two years old, is accounted as born on December 24, 1810. And this child accounted as born on December 24, 1810, is but a Sign of that promised Seed of Abraham which must be
