understanding of the matter. Rev. Mr. Field preached from Titus ii. 13. Bless the young man, and give him to do thy will, Holy Father, for thy great glory, O keep him in the day of trial, that is just at the doors. This evening the Lord hath been pleased to reveal unto me, from Daniel xii. 11, 12, the exact time when the abomination that maketh desolate shall be set up. From this day it will be one thousand, three hundred, and five and thirty days. Glory be to God. It is thy time: and at the time thou hast made it known unto thy servant; O thou faithful God, thy servant loveth thee. But who am I, and what is my father's house, that out of all the world thou shouldest set thy love and favour upon me? Make me willing, Holy Father, to live for thee, and to die for thee, if it is thy will. Let me glorify thee; and if thou wilt give me exaltation, give me humility above all creatures; for Christ's sake. Amen. Page 56, 55.

Now this is the Wheat, or the Truth concerning what is written above, which could not be seen in the spiritual night; as it is now made manifest in me by the Light of the spiritual day.

Now spiritually speaking, the abomination that maketh desolate is the spirit of man, the destroyer of his own faith; and the creature who is to be delivered, and to be made the Firstborn of many brethren, is the destroyer of his own faith in the Gospel, by setting up his own

thought above the thought of God; that he must work, and not sit still, to attain unto the knowledge of the glory of God. And this thought in the heart of the creature is set up in him, as a spiritual murderer, on December 13, 1812. Therefore the number 1335 hath respect unto the appointed time for the creature to destroy his own faith in the promise, until the appointed time to preach again that faith in the promise of the Gospel, which he once destroyed; as it is written,-But they had heard only, that he who persecuted us in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed. And they glorified God in me, believing his word by me. Galatians i. 23, 24.

Therefore it is again written,—O Israel, thou hast destroyed thyself, but in me thou shalt live again; for I will help thee when the spiritual morning appeareth. Hosea xiii. 9.

For God is in the heart of Israel, she shall not be moved; God shall help her when the spiritual morning appeareth. Psalm xlvi. 5.

Now this appointed time for the destruction of the faith in the promise, until the restoration of faith in the promise, is spiritually called one thousand three hundred and thirty-five days, and do mean one thousand three hundred and thirtyfive weeks; to be considered from December 13, 1812, unto July 15, 1838. And July 15, 1838,

is spiritually perceived to mean March 14, 1839. For then the time hath come for justification by faith, and not by works, in the promise of the Spirit concerning the revelation of the glory of God, as a free gift, and not as the reward of works.

And now under the good guidance of the Spirit of truth, to whom belongeth the kingdom, and the power, and the glory of all his work in his creature, I say, that under his guidance and with his thoughts I will now shew why the number 1335 is to be considered from December 13, 1812. And then, after what manner the day of the ending of that great number of one thousand three hundred and thirty-five weeks, on July 15, 1838, is spiritually perceived to mean March 14, -1839.

Now the words concerning this great number are thus written,-Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days. But walk thou by faith till the end for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot, by faith, at the end of the days. Daniel xii. 12, 13.

In the first place, the spiritual Abraham is the blessed One that waiteth for justification by faith in the Gospel promise; as it is written,-And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the

Gospel unto Abraham, saying,—In thee shall all nations be blessed. So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham. Galatians iii. 8, 9.

Therefore I say that Abraham is blessed in his faith in the promise before that he is circumcised; that is to say, Before that he has an eye to see, an ear to hear, or a heart to understand the promise. And his belief in the promise, even before circumcision, is counted unto him for righteousness.

So then we are caused to perceive that the blessed one, who waiteth from the beginning unto the end of the time appointed, is the high father of many nations, according to the promise and goodwill of God.

Now I say again, That this number shews forth the time from which the Gospel is first preached, and is commanded to be believed and obeyed; but it is not believed nor obeyed, until that time when the Gospel coming in the power of the spirit it is believed and obeyed.

At the first, when it is preached, it is not given unto the creature to see and to understand the Commandment, To sit still and keep the Sabbath, because the Word is but as a Lamp in the spiritual night, that cannot deliver from darkness. But at the second time, when it is preached, it is given unto the creature to see and to understand the Commandment, To sit still and keep the

Sabbath; because the Word comes in power at the dawning of the spiritual day, and the deliverance of the creature begins.

Therefore we are so caused to perceive, that repentance towards God and faith towards our Lord Jesus Christ are the gifts of his mercy by the Light.

Now because it hath pleased God that one creature should be delivered for all, that through one all Flesh may be delivered from error and ignorance concerning God and Jesus Christ, it is therefore the good pleasure of the Spirit, that in that one man should all the Law and Prophets be fulfilled. And this man, by Inheritance, is called the Word of God: because in him, first, is the Word of God revealed, according to the will of God. Therefore it is testified of him,-That he hath a Name that no man knew but he himself, and that Name is, The Word of God. And of the same it is testified, saying,-That the testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of Prophecy. Therefore we conclude by saying, with the Spirit,That no man but himself knew the Word of God, according to the Spirit of Prophecy, because he himself is the first man to whom the Word of God, according to the Spirit of Prophecy, is revealed by the Spirit of God dwelling in his spirit.

Now the whole life of this one man, from the appointed time of his natural conception in the
