Sir John Norris, upon a fecret Expedition against the
Spaniards. His military promotions. The British

Hanoverians and Heffians in British pay, to affift the

The refolution of his Britannic majefty and the British
parliament to fupport the queen of Hungary: oppofition
thereto the Hanoverian troops continued in British
pay. His majefty closes the feffion of parliament; and
makes a grand military promotion, when the DUKE of
CUMBERLAND is appointed a Major General. His
majelty appoints a regency, and embarks for Holland,
with his Royal Highnefs the DUKE; their arrival at
Hanover; and the fituation of affairs upon the conti-
nent. The ftate of the military forces of Auftria and
France for the campaign of 1743. The declaration
of his Pruffian majesty against foreign troops entering
Germany; and the refolution of the States General to
affift the queen of Hungary with 20,000 men.

berg. The battle of Dettingen, wherein his Royal

CUMBERLAND and marthal Saxe, from prince Charles
of Lorrain, marfhal Khevenhuller, and prince Lobko-
witz, on account of that victory. The cartel con-
cluded at Francfort, between the allies and the French,
for the exchange of prifoners.
