Thus did Mr. Bonnell difcharge the great Duty of Prayer, in every part of it, both Publick and Private: And as he Pray'd without ceafing; fo he was a conftant and devout Gueft

Guest at the Lord's-Table: And therefore I now come to fhew, what his Practice was, with Refpect to the Holy Sacrament of the Lord's-Supper.

He was very early touch'd, with a lively Senfe of his Obligations, to commemorate our Saviours Paffion, in that Holy Mystery; and I find from his own Meditations, that as he improv'd in Knowledge and Years, his Defires after that Divine Feaft, grew stronger ftill. For there he found all the endearing Comforts of Religion; God's Goodness difplay'd, and His Juftice fatisfi'd: The Contemplation of which, gives the trueft Peace and Joy to Humble and Penitent Minds.

A great part of his Private Writings confift of Meditations, preparative to the Sacrament, or Thanksgivings after it: So that for feveral Years of his Life, hardly a Week paffed over, but he put down fome Communion Thoughts in Writing; fome Meditation or Prayer, upon the Love of God to Mankind; or fome part of our Saviour's Life, or Sufferings; especially, during the late Troubles, when he needed the Supports of Religion moft, and feems to have enjoy'd them, in a greater degree than at other times.

After his Settling in Dublin, His conftant Practice for many Years, was, to Communicate twice every Month: Befide all the folemn Times, when the Holy Sacrament is adminiftred. But fuch longing Defires had he, after that facred Memorial of our Savi
