By his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many;
For he shall bear their iniquities.
Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great,
And he shall divide the spoil with the strong;
Because he hath poured out his soul unto death:
And he was numbered with the transgressors;
And he bare the sin of many,
And made intercession for the transgressors.
Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear;
Break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child:
For more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the Lord.
Enlarge the place of thy tent,
And let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations:
Spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes;
For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left;
And thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles,
put to shame:
And shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more.
For thy Maker is thine husband;
The Lord of hosts is his name;
And thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel;
The God of the whole earth shall he be called.
For the Lord hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit,
And a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God.
For a small moment have I forsaken thee;
But with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee,
Saith the Lord thy Redeemer.
For this is as the waters of Noah unto me:
For as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should
no more go over the earth; So have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee,
nor rebuke thee. For the mountains shall depart, And the hills be removed; But my kindness shall not depart from thee, Neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, Saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee.
O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted,
Behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours,
And from terror; for it shall not come near thee. Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me:
Whosoever shall gather together against thee shall
fall for thy sake. Behold, I have created the smith That bloweth the coals in the fire, And that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; And I have created the waster to destroy. No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; An'1 every tongue that shall rise against thee in
judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.
Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters,
Yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and
without price. Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not
And your labour for that which satisfieth not? Hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good,
And let your soul delight itself in fatness.
And nations that knew not thee shall run unto
Because of the Lord thy God,
Seek ye the Lord while he may be found,
And the unrighteous man his thoughts:
And let him return unto the Lord, and he will have
mercy upon him; And to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, Neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are my ways higher than your ways, And my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, And the snow from heaven, And retumeth not thither, But watereth the earth, And maketh it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower, and bread to
So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my
It shall not return unto me void,
For ye shall go out with joy,
