THE HELPFUL THOUGHT Though Faith and hope may oft be tried Blest is my lot what'er befall, What can disturb me, what appall; Whil'st as my rock, my strength, my all, Savior! I cling to Thee! THE SACRED TEXT -Hymns of the Ages. And being fully persuaded, that what He had promised He was able to perform. —Rom. 4: 19, 20, 21. THE HELPFUL THOUGHT The things which are seen are temporal; it is the things which are not seen that are eternal. Science, if it cannot increase our Faith, has at any rate purified and enlarged it. Even in the silence of death, even in the darkness of the unseen world, we have the assurance that there is one to whom the darkness and the light are both alike. Let us hold on, knowing, fearing nothing; trusting, hoping all. -Dean Stanley.
