And he saith to them, Be not frightened: ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him:

But go, tell his disciples and Peter, that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said to you.

And they went out quickly, and fled from the sepulcher; for they trembled, and were amazed: neither said they any thing to any man; for they were afraid.

Now when Jesus was risen early, the first day of the week, a he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven demons.

And the people waited for Zacharias, and marveled that he tarried so long in the temple.

And when he came out, he could not speak to them: and they perceived that he had seen a vision in the temple; for he beckoned to them, and remained speechless.

And it came to pass, that as soon as the days of his ministration were accomplished, he departed to his own house.

And after those days his wife Elisabeth conceived, and secluded herself five months, saying,

Thus hath the Lord dealt with me in the days in which he looked on me, to take away my reproach among men.

And in the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,

To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. 28 And the angel came to her, and said, Hail, thou that art 3 highly favored, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.

And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.

And behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age; and this is the sixth month with her who was called barren:
