THE profits arifing from the fale of this work are de voted to form a permanent fund, the annual intereft of which is to be appropriated, by the Truftees of the Missionary Society of Connecticut, to the fupport of Miffions in the new American fettlements, and among the Heathen.

All remittances of pay are to be made direaly to the publishers.No other perfon is authorized to fettle an account.

A FEW SETTS of the THREE FIRST NUMBERS of the Magazine are en band for fale.

The Editors moft gratefully acknowledge the very liberal patronage of the public, extended to the Magazine, and thank their correfpondents for the valuable pieces which they have furnished for it. Yet, to obtain a greater variety of matter, for the improvement and greater utility of the work, request them to propofe, to be inferted in the Magazine, paffages of feripture for explanation, queflions on religious delrines, on experimental, pradical, and briefly on any and all fubjects, answers to which may inform the mind, redify the judgment, warm the heart, and affif the pious in the divine life.

Thefe fubfcribers who have not remitted the pay for the three first numbers are requefied to do it as foon as poffible, as the publishers wish to make a quarterly fettlement with the Editors, that the profits of the work may, as foon as poffible, go into the treafury, of the Miffionary Society of Connecticut; to which benevolent purpofe they are facredly appropriated.

Note. The Truflees of the Miffionary Society of Connecticut, at the request of the publishing Committee of the Magazine, have appointed the Hon. JONATHAN BRACE and JOHN PORTER, Efquires, to affift the Editors in jettling accounts with the publishers.

The Magazines that are taken in Fairfield County, vill be-delivered to the fubfcribers by Mr. ISAAC BEERS, bookfeller, in NewHaven, unless they give contrary orders.
