Jude 3 Beloved, when I gave all Diligence to write unto you of the common Salvation: it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you, that ye fhould earnestly

CONTEND for the FAITH which was once delivered unto the Saints.

4 For there are cerrain Men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this Condemnation, un

godly Men turning the GRACE of our GOD into LASCIVIOUSNESS, and denying the ONLY LORD GOD, and our

LORD JESUS CHRIST.

Zeph. iii. 4 Her PROPHETS are LIGHT, and TREACHEROUS Perfons: her PRIESTS

have POLLUTED the SANCTUARY, they

have done Violence to the Law.

6 If thy Brother the Son of thy Mother, or thy Son, or thy Daughter, or the Wife of thy Bofom, or thy Friend, which is as thine own Soul, entice thee fecretly, saying, Let us go and ferve other Gods (which thou haft not known, thou nor thy Fathers;

7 Namely, of the Gods of the People which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one End of the Earth even unto the other End of the Earth.)

8 Thou shalt not confent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither fhall thine Eye pity him, neither fhalt thou fpare, neither fhalt thou conceal him.

9 But thou shalt furely kill him; thine Hand shall be

firft upon him, to put him to Death, and afterwards the Hand of all the People.

10 And thou fhalt ftone him with Stones, that he die: because he hath fought to thrust thee away from the LORD thy GoD, which brought thee out of the Land of Egypt, from the Houfe of Bondage.

II And all Ifrael fhall hear, and fear, and shall do no more any fuch Wickedness as this is among you.

12 If thou fhalt hear fay in one of thy Cities which the LORD thy God hath given thee to dwell there, faying,

13 Certain Men, the Children of Belial, are gone out from among you, and have withdrawn the Inhabitants of their City, faying, Let us go and serve other Gods (which ye have not known)

14 Then fhalt thou enquire and make Search, and afk diligently and behold if it be Truth, and the Thing certain, that fuch Abomination is wrought among you:

15 Thou fhalt furely fmite the Inhabitants of that City with the Edge of the Sword, deftroying it utterly, and all that is therein, and the Cattle thereof, with the Edge of the Sword.

16 And thou fhalt gather all the Spoil of it into the midst of the Street thereof, and fhalt burn with Fire the City and all the Spoil thereof every whit, for the LORD thy GOD: and it shall be an Heap for ever, it fhall not be built again.

17 And there fhall cleave nought of the curfed Thing to thine Hand that the LORD may turn from the Fierceness of his Anger, and fhew thee Mercy and have Compaflion upon thee, and multiply thee, as he hath fworn unto thy Fathers;

18 When thou fhalt hearken to the Voice of the LORD thy GoD, to keep all his Commandments, which I command thee this Day, to do that which is right in the Eyes of the LORD thy God.

THE LORD thy GOD will RAISE UP unto thee a PROPHET from

16 According to all that thou defiredft of the LORD thy GoD in Horeb, in the Day of the Affembly, faying, Let me not hear again the Voice of the LORD my GOD; neither let me fee this great Fire any more, that I die

not.

17 And the LORD faid unto me, They have well spoken that which they have fpoken.

18 I will raife them up a Prophet from among their Brethren, like unto thee, and will put my Words in his Mouth, and he fhall fpeak unto them all that I fhall command him.

19 And it shall come to pafs, that whosoever will not hearken unto my Words, which he fhall fpeak in my Name, I will require it of

him.

20 But the Prophet which fhall prefume to speak a Word in my Name, which I have not commanded him to fpeak, or that shall speak in the Name of other Gods, even that Prophet fhall die.

whom alfo he made the WORLDS.

Heb. i. Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the

8 HARDEN not your HEARTS, as in the Provocation, in the Day of Temptation in the Wilderness:

9 When your Fathers tempted me,

proved me, and faw my Works forty Years.

10 Wherefore I was grieved with that Generation, and said, They do always err in their Heart; and they have not known my Ways.

11 So I fware in my Wrath, They fhall not ENTER into my REST.

12 Take heed, Brethren, left there be in any of you an EVIL HEART of UNBELIEF, in DEPARTING from the LIVING GOD.

13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called, To day; left any of you be HARDNED through the DECEITFULNESS of SIN.

.

14 For we are made PARTAKERS of CHRIST, if we hold the Beginning of our CONFIDENCE ftedfaft unto the End;

15 While it is faid, TO-DAY if ye will hear his Voice, HARDEN not your HEARTS, as in the PROVOCATION.

16 For fome when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit, not all that came out of Egypt by Moles.

17 But with whom was he grieved forty Years? was it not with them that had finned, whofe Carcafes fell in the Wilderness?

18 And to whom fware he that they should not enter into his REST, but to them that BELIEVED NOT?

19 So we fee that they could not enter in, because of UNBELIEF.

21 e And if thou fay in thine Heart, How fhall we know the Word which the LORD hath not spoken?

John vii. 17 If any Man will do HIS WILL, he fhall KNOW of the DocTRINE, whether it be of GOD, or whether I fpeak of myself.

22 When a Prophet fpeaketh in the Name of the LORD, if the Thing follow not, nor come to pafs, that is the Thing which the LORD hath not fpoken, but the Prophet hath fpoken it prefumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.
