7 And Isaac spake unto Abraham his Father, and said, My Father : and he said, Here am I, my Son. And he faid, Behold, the Fire and the Wood: but where is the LAMB for a Burnt-offering ?

8 And Abraham faid, My Son, God will PROVIDE himself a Lame for a Burnt-offering : so they went both of them together.

9 And they came to the place which God liad told him of, and Abraham built an Altar there, and laid the Wood in Order ; and BOUND Isaac his Son, and laid him on the Altar upon the Wood.

11 And the Angel of the LORD called unto him out of Heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham. And he said, Herc am I.

12 And he said, Lay not thine Hand upon the Lad, neither do thou any thing unto him : for now I know that thou feareft GOD, seeing thou hast not wiTHHELD thy Son, thine ONLY Son from me.

13 And Abraham lifted up his Eyes, and looked, and behold, behind him a Ram caught in a Thicket by his Horns: And Abraham went and took the Ram, and offered him up for a Burnt-offering, in the STEAD of his Son.

14 And Abraham called the Name of that Place Jehovah-jireh : as it is said to this Day, in the Mount of the LORD it shall be seen.

15 And the Angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of Heaven the second time, 16 s And said, By MY SELF.

8 Then Abraham gave up the Ghost, and died in a good old Age, an old Man, and full of Years; and was gathered to his People.

19 And these are the Generations of Isaac Abraham's Son : Abraham begat Ifaac.

20 And Isaac was forty Years old when he took Rebekah to Wife, the Daughter of Bethuel the Syrian, of Padanaram, the Sister to Laban the Syrian.

26 And after that came his Brother out, and his Hand took hold on Efau's Heel; and his Name was called Jacob: and Isaac was threescore Years old when she bare them.

27 And the Boys grew : and Efau was a cunning Hunter, a Man of the Field ; and Jacob was a plain Man dwelling in Tents.

28 And Ifaac loved Efau, because he did eat of his Venison : but Rebekah loved Jacob.

29 And Jacob sod Pottage : and Esau came from the Field, and he was faint.

30 And Efau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red Pottage ; for I am faint : therefore was his Name called Edom.

Ver. 1

ND it came to pass that when Isaac was old, and

called Efau his eldest Son, and said unto him, My Son : And he said unto him, Behold, here am I.

2 And he said, Behold, now I am old, I know not the Day of my Death.

3 Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy Weapons, thy Quiver, and thy Bow, and go out to the field, and take me some Venison ;

4 And make me favoury Meat, such as I love, and bring it to me, that I may eat ; that my Soul may bless thee before I die.

5 And Rebekah heard when Isaac spake to Efau his Son : and Efau went to the Field to hunt for Venison, and to bring it.

6 And Rebekah spake unto Jacob her Son, saying, Behold, I heard thy Father speak unto Esau thy Brother, saying,

7 Bring me Venison, and make me favoury Meat, that I may eat, and bless thee before the Lord before my Death.

8 Now therefore, my Son, obey my Voice, according to that which I command thee.

9 Go now to the Flock, and fetch me from thence two good Kids of the Goats; and I will make them favoury Meat for thy Father, such as he loveth.

10 And thou shalt bring it to thy Father, that he may bless thee before his Death.

1 And Jacob said to Rebekah his Mother, Behold, Esau my Brother is a hairy Man, and I am a smooth Man.
