The Prieft being at the altar kiffeth it in teftimony of re conciliation with Chrift and the church triumphant for the Altar reprefents Chrift crucifyed, and the reliques vpon the altar the faints of the church triumphant incorporated with Chrift, and fays.

As in the old law it was the caftome to bring the Pafchalk Lamb into Ierufalem fower dayes before the feast. So IesusChrift of whom the pafchall lamb was a figure, was pleafed to come into Ierufalem fowerdayes before the celebration of the feftiuall: And therefore the Church reprefenting this myftery maks to day the station at Rome in the church confecrated to God in honour of S. Iohn Baptift, because he declared unto vs that our Sauiour was the lamb of God which taks away the fins of the world.
