This book is extremely valuable and beautiful. Bentley Harts English tests my understanding to the extreme: As a non native speaker with rather less extended knowledge in theoretical philosophy, I really had to fight my way through the book,. Fortunately I have read it on kindle which offers a preinstalled dictionary. Needless to say vene the dictionary did not know every tenth word or so. I don't have Hart's extendedknoweldge of postmodern philosophical literature. Nevertheless I was transfixed and kept going.
This was because his Theology lets my soul arise into heaven an sing, sing, sing. He goes (in what he calls a dogmatica minora) to the core of the christian faith. drwaing heavily on Scripture, the Fathers and on theological Tradition he draws an image of the triune God who is Love, that is sheer joy and - indeed beauty.

I cried.
Firstly because it was so difficult to read.
Secondly, because when I finally understood it, it was some of hte most beautiful theology I've ever read.
