REV. xix. 16.

1JESUS, King most wonderful,
Thou Conqueror renowned,
Thou sweetness most ineffable,
In whom all joys are found!

2 When once Thou visitest the heart,
Then truth begins to shine;
Then earthly vanities depart,
Then kindles love divine.

3 0 Jesus, Light of all below, Thou Fount of life and fire, Surpassing all the joys we know, All that we can desire:

4 May every heart confess Thy name,
And ever Thee adore ;

And, seeking Thee, itself inflame
To seek Thee more and more.

5 Thee may our tongues for ever bless; Thee may we love alone;

And ever in our lives express

The image of Thine own.

6 Stay with us, Lord, and with Thy light Illume the soul's abyss;

Scatter the darkness of our night,
And fill the world with bliss.
Bernard of Clairvaux, tr. E. Caswall.

He is Lord of lords, and King of kings.-REV. xvii. 14.

ALL hail the power of Jesus' name!

Let angels prostrate fall;

Bring forth the royal diadem,

And crown Him Lord of all.

2 Crown Him, ye martyrs of our God,
Who from His altar call;
Extol the stem of Jesse's rod,
Aud crown Him Lord of all.

3 Ye seed of Israel's chosen race,

A remnant weak and small,
Hail Him who saves you by His grace,
Aud crown Him Lord of all,

4 Ye Gentile sinners, ne'er forget
The wormwood and the gall;
Go, spread your trophies at His feet,
And crown Him Lord of all.

5 Let every kindred, every tribe,
On this terrestrial ball,
To Him all majesty ascribe,
And crown Him Lord of all.

60 that with yonder sacred throng
We at His feet may fall,
Join in the everlasting song,
And crown Him Lord of all !
E. Perronet.

Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.-Ps. cxlix. 2.

1 REJOICE! the Lord is King:

Your Lord and King adore;

Mortals, give thanks and sing,
And triumph evermore :

Lift up your heart, lift up your voice:
Rejoice; again I say, rejoice.

His kingdom cannot fail :

He rules o'er earth and heaven;

The keys of death and hell

Are to our Jesus given:

Lift up your heart, lift up your voice:
Rejoice; again I say, rejoice.

He all His foes shall quell,

Shall all our sins destroy;

And every bosom swell

With pure seraphic joy:

Lift up your heart, lift up your voice:
Rejoice; again I say, rejoice.

Rejoice in glorious hope:

Jesus, the Judge, shall come,

And take His servants up

To their eternal home:

We soon shall hear the archangel's voice;

The trump of God shall sound, Rejoice!
