It affords us pleasure to observe the goodly array of our medical brethren who have borne testimony in favour of the above useful invention, than which we conceive nothing can be more desirable or complete.'-Editor of the Medical Circular.

An invention is now before the public that is exciting quite a sensation. We are convinced not only that the invention is a valuable one, but that it is incumbent upon all who would enjoy health, whilst preserving the beauty of their person, to adopt this Bodice.'-Editor of Kidd's Own Journal.'

THESE unique inventions combine FIRMNESS with ELASTICITY; they

fasten easily in front, fit closely, and retain the original symmetry of their adjustment. Their beautiful resilient action, elegant appearance, and anatomical correctness, have won for them the highest admiration. They are judiciously adapted to every varying condition of the female form. Ladies in health, convalescents, and invalids wear them with equal satisfaction; and once having experienced the comfort and advantages they ensure, will not return to the ordinary stays and their attendant evils.

The oblique transverse resilients have each a distinct action in accordance with muscular movement; and are variable in number, size, and position, as individual configuration may require. Under the open transverse-work quilted silk, fine flannel, or coutil, is inserted at the option of the wearer, preventing chilliness in the back, and promoting the general health. The additional resilients in the lower part of the front are given in the Corsaletto only.

Bodices of plain Coutil or Jean, with cotton elastic resilients, at prices from 14s. to 20s. (Children's 4s. to 11s.) Corsalettos, from 21s. The finest silk elastic resilients are used in Bodices of best single Coutil, at 21s. Corsalettos, from 31s. 6d. ; and Bodices of best double Coutil, at 25s. and upwards. Corsalettos, from 35s.

LADIES' RESILIENT SUSTAINING BELTS, of fine woven silks, self-adjusting, without fastenings, and affording an agreeable and unvarying support in any temperature. Prices from 12s. to £2 2s.

ALL COUNTRY ORDERS SENT POST-FREE. Enlarged Prospectus, with tinted Illus. trations, papers for self-measurement, &c., sent free on receipt of two stamps for postage.

Ye ATTENTION

of Travellers, and of the Public generally, is requested to a few words about Coffee.

To obtain a Cup of good Coffee it is requisite

1st. That the Coffee should be good.

2nd. That such good Coffee should be properly roasted.

We alone provide these two essentials.

Supposing, for a moment, that our prominent position in the trade, and our large sale of Coffee, afford us no advantage in purchasing, and that it is likely that the small buyer with money can purchase as well as the large buyer with money, still no plan of Roasting Coffee has yet been devised equally good with that invented, patented, and used by us.

Coffee, in common with other vegetable products, contains vegetable acids, which acids act upon all base metals, and, hence, it is evident that when cylinders made of iron, &c. are used for the roasting of coffee, an acid and metallic product must be produced, which, being imparted to the coffee, gives it those acid and disagreeable flavours that cause the beverage to be avoided by many, and to be ultimately injurious to more.

By our patent process of roasting only in cylinders made of pure metal (as silver), all this injurious action is avoided, and the acid vapour, by mechanical arrangement, frees itself from the berry as soon as generated.

Gentlemen of the greatest eminence in the scientific and medical world have expressed their approbation of our apparatus. It is open to all, and the public generally are invited to inspect it.

The present Prices of Coffee supplied by us vary from
10d. per lb., upwards.
