PSALM CXIX. 26.

Psalm of instruction, composed by David in distiches with a view of being readily committed to memory by his band of fol lowers, after it was augmented by valiant men of the tribes of Gad, Benjamin, and Judah, who came and joined themselves to him whilst in the wilderness of Ziph, whither he fled from the persecution of Saul. See 1 Sam. xxiii. 13, 14. and 1 Chron. xii. 8-18.
