ISAIAH IX., XI., XII.

THE people that walked in | darkness || have seen a great | light.

2 They that dwell in the land of the shadow of death || upon | them hath the light shined.

3 For unto us a child is born || unto | us a son is given;

4 And the government || shall be⚫ up on His shoulder;

5 And His name shall be called Wonderful Counsel | lor || the mighty God, 6 The ever last. ing Father the Prince of Peace.

7 Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end || upon the throne of David | and up on his kingdom,

8 To order it and to establish it with judgment and with | justice | from hence ⚫ forth even for ever.

9 And the spirit of the Lord shall | rest up on Him || the spirit of wisdom and | un der standing.

10 The spirit of counsel and | might || the spirit of knowledge and of the fear | of the Lord.

23 Sing unto the Lord, for He hath done excellent things || this is known all the earth.

ISAIAH XXV., XXVI.

LORD, Thou art my God || I will exalt Thee I will praise Thy | name; 2 For Thou hast done wonderful things || Thy counsels of old are | faith ful ness and truth.

3 For Thou hast been a | strength to the poor || a strength to the needy in his distress;

4 A refuge from the storm, a shadow | from the heat || when the blast of the terrible ones is as storm against the wall.

5 And in this mountain shall the Lord of Hosts make unto all | people || a | feast ⚫ of fa f| t❘ things;

6 And He will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people and the veil that is spread over a 11 nations.

7 He will swallow up death in | victory || and the Lord God will wipe away | tears from off all faces;

8 And the rebuke of His people shall He take away from off all the earth || for the Lord hath spoken | it.

9 And it shall be said in that day, Lo this is our God || we have waited for Him and He will save us:

10 This is the Lord; we have waited. for Him we will be glad and re | joice in His salvation.

11 In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah | we have a strong city: salvation will God appoint for walls and bulwarks.

12 Open ye the gates || that the righteous nation which keepeth the truth may | en ter in.

13 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee | be | cause he trusteth in | Thee.

14 Trust ye in the Lord for | ever || for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting | strength.

15 Lord, Thou wilt ordain | peace for | នង ខ

us for Thou also hast wrought | all · our | works in us.

16 O Lord our God, other lords beside Thee have had dominion over | us || but by Thee only will we make | mention of Thy name.

THE everlasting God, the Lord, the Crea
