THIS little work was primarily written. for the religious benefit of a very numerous, useful, and brave class of men, who particularly deserve the notice, and claim the sympathy of the Christian public; but, while its chief design is to exhibit to sailors their actual condition, and point out the sure means of recovery from it, there is nothing exclusive in it, for it aims at leading all classes of people to "consider of their ways, and turn
