54 Glory, and laud, and honour
62 Hail! Festal Day

38 He, by Whose Hand the Light
21 Hence, night and clouds

83 He, the Confessor of the Lord

In this our bright and Paschal day
67 Jesu, Redemption all divine
33 Jesu, the Father's Only Son
50 Jesu, the Law and Pattern, whence

57 Jesu, Who brought'st redemption nigh 57
36 Let every age and nation own
87 Let Gentiles raise the thankful lay
49 Lo! now is our accepted day

APPENDIX

Evening

SUN of my soul! Thou Saviour dear,
It is not night if Thou be near;
Oh! may no earth-born cloud arise
To hide Thee from Thy servant's eyes.

When the soft dews of kindly sleep
My wearied eyelids gently steep,
Be my last thought, how sweet to rest
For ever on my Saviour's breast.

Abide with me from morn till eve,
For without Thee I cannot live;
Abide with me when night is nigh,
For without Thee I dare not die.

If some poor wandering child of Thine
Have spurned, to-day, the Voice divine,
Now, Lord, the gracious work begin!
Let him no more lie down in sin.

Watch by the sick: enrich the poor
With blessings from Thy boundless store;
Be every mourner's sleep to-night,
Like infants' slumbers, pure and light.

B

107

Come near and bless us when we wake,
Ere through the world our way we take;
Till in the ocean of Thy love

We lose ourselves in heaven above.

Praise to the Father, and the Son,
And Holy Spirit, Three in One;
Eternal praise to Each be given

By all in earth, and all in heaven. Amen.

ALL praise to Thee, my God, this night
For all the blessings of the light;
Keep me, O keep me, King of kings,
Beneath Thine own almighty wings.

Forgive me, Lord, for Thy dear Son,
The ills that I this day have done;
That with the world, myself, and Thee,
I, ere I sleep, at peace may be.

Teach me to live, that I may dread
The grave as little as my bed;
To die, that this vile body may
Rise glorious at the awful day.

O may my soul on Thee repose,
And may sweet sleep mine eyelids close;
Sleep that shall me more vigorous make
To serve my God when I awake.

When in the night I sleepless lie,
My soul with heavenly thoughts supply;
Let no ill dreams disturb my rest,
No power of darkness me molest.
