Full Address. In all letters, the name of the STATE should be given. Serious inconvenience results from the omission of this part of the address in connection with the date of the letter. A man writes and sends $1.00 for the Herald, dating his letter "Salem, Dec. 5, 1867." Where shall the Herald be sent? There are 52 Salems in the United States. As letters are received at the Missionary House from all parts of the country, every one will see the propriety of the request that the full address - Post-office, State, and name of the writer, should be distinctly given.

Ministers will confer a favor by prefixing Rev. to the signature.

Discontinuing a Subscription. In ordering the Herald discontinued, it is necessary to give both the NAME of the person to whom it is sent, and the POST-OFFICE at which it has been received. The return of a copy of the Herald is not sufficient, as it does not indicate the Post-office.

Old or New. In sending names of subscribers, please write "New" against all who are not now on our books for 1867.

Separate Letters. As all business letters are filed in their appropriate departments, it will be a great convenience if items of business for the Treasurer's department and for the Herald, can be written on separate pieces of paper, although inclosed in one envelope.

Bound Volumes. - Persons sending the numbers of the Herald for 1867, can have them bound, in neat cloth binding, for 40 cents; in half sheep for 75 cents. The volume will be returned by mail for 10 cents. The Maps and Engravings in the Herald the past year, have given it a special value for binding. Persons who desire the volume bound, should send the numbers as early as practicable. Postage on the 12 numbers, 14 cents. Bound volumes may be purchased at the Missionary House, for $1.40 or $1.75, according to style of binding.

January, July, and October Herald. Persons who have copies of the January, July, or October Herald, which can be conveniently spared, will confer a favor by forwarding the same to this office.

The following arrangement has been made in the system of General Agencies, by the Prudential Committee, with a view to efficiency in the raising of funds.

The payment of $50 at one time constitutes a minister, and the payment of $100 at one time constitutes any other person, an Honorary Member of the Board.

LEGACIES.

In making devises and legacies to the Board, the entire corporate name "The American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions"— should be used; otherwise the intent of the testator may be defeated.
