And he set the sea on the right side of the house eastward, to40 ward the south. And 'Hiram

made the 'lavers, and the shovels, and the basons. So Hiram made an end of doing all the work that he wrought for king Solomon in the house of the LORD: 41 the two pillars, and the two bowls of the chapiters that were on the top of the pillars; and the two networks to cover the two bowls of the chapiters that were on the 42 top of the pillars; and the four hundred pomegranates for the two networks; two rows of pomegranates for each network, to cover the two bowls of the chapiters that were upon the pillars; 43 and the ten bases, and the ten 44 lavers on the bases; and the

one sea, and the twelve oxen 45 under the sea; and the pots, and the shovels, and the basons: even all these vessels, which Hiram made for king Solomon, in the house of the LORD, were 46 of burnished brass. In the plain

of the Jordan did the king cast them, in the clay ground between 47 Succoth and Zarethan. And Solomon left all the vessels unweighed because they were exceeding many: the weight of the brass 5 could not be found out.

placed them in the temple, five on the right side, and five on the left. And he made an 9 hundred basons of gold. Furthermore he made the court of the priests, and the great court, and doors for the court, and overlaid the doors of them with brass. IO And he set the sea on the right

side of the house eastward, toward II the south. And Huram made the pots, and the shovels, and the basons. So Huram made an end of doing the work that he wrought for king Solomon in the 12 house of God: the two pillars, and the bowls, and the two chapiters which were on the top of the pillars; and the two networks to cover the two bowls of the chapiters that were on the 13 top of the pillars; and the four hundred pomegranates for the two networks; two rows of pomegranates for each network, to cover the two bowls of the chapiters that were 'upon the pillars. 14 He made also the bases, and the

lavers made he upon the bases; 15 one sea, and the twelve oxen 16 under it. The pots also, and the shovels, and the fleshhooks, and all the vessels thereof, did "Huram his father make for king Solomon for the house of 17 the LORD of bright brass. In the plain of Jordan did the king cast them, in the clay ground between Succoth and Zeredah. 18 Thus Solomon made all these vessels in great abundance: for the weight of the brass 'could not be found out.

48 And Solomon made all the vessels that were in the house of the LORD: the golden altar, and the table whereupon the shewbread 49 was, of gold; and the candle

sticks, five on the right side, and five on the left, before the oracle, of pure gold; and the flowers, and the lamps, and the tongs, of 50 gold; and the cups, and the

snuffers, and the basons, and the spoons, and the firepans, of pure gold; and the hinges, both for the doors of the inner house, the most holy place, and for the doors of the house, to wit, of the 51 temple, of gold. Thus all the

work that king Solomon wrought in the house of the LORD was finished. And Solomon brought in the things which David his father had dedicated, even the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, and put them in the treasuries of the house of the LORD.

19 And Solomon made all the vessels that were in the house of God, the golden altar also, and the tables whereon was the shew20 bread; and the candlesticks with their lamps, that they should burn according to the ordinance before the oracle, of pure gold; 21 and the flowers, and the lamps,

and the tongs, of gold, and that 22 perfect gold; and the snuffers, and the basons, and the spoons, and the firepans, of pure gold: and as for the entry of the house, the inner doors thereof for the most holy place, and the doors of the house, to wit, of the temple, 5 were of gold. Thus all the work that Solomon wrought for the house of the LORD was finished. And Solomon brought in the things that David his father had dedicated; even the silver, and the gold, and all the vessels, and put them in the treasuries of the house of God.

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the princes of the fathers' houses of the children of Israel, unto king Solomon in Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which is Zion. 2 And all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto king Solomon at the feast, in the month Ethanim, which is the 3 seventh month. And all the elders of Israel came, and the 4 priests took up the ark. And they brought up the ark of the LORD, and the tent of meeting, and all the holy vessels that were in the Tent; even these did the priests and the Levites bring up. 5 And king Solomon and all the congregation of Israel, that were

assembled unto him, were with him before the ark, sacrificing sheep and oxen, that could not be told nor numbered for multi6 tude. And the priests brought

in the ark of the covenant of the LORD unto its place, into the oracle of the house, to the most holy place, even under the wings 7 of the cherubim. For the cherubim spread forth their wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubim covered the ark and 8 the staves thereof above. And 'the staves were so long that the ends of the staves were seen from the holy place before the oracle; but they were not seen without : and there they are, unto this day. 9 There was nothing in the ark save the two tables of stone which Moses put there at Horeb, 2 when the LORD made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of the land of 10 Egypt. For the cherubim spread forth their wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubim covered the ark and the 9 staves thereof above. Then spake Solomon, The LORD hath said that he would 13 dwell in the thick darkness. I have surely built thee an house of habitation, a place for thee to 14 dwell in for ever. And the king turned his face about, and blessed all the congregation of Israel : and all the congregation of Israel V 15 stood. And he said, Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, which spake with his mouth unto David my father, and hath with 16 his hand fulfilled it, saying, Since the day that I brought forth my people Israel out of Egypt, I chose no city out of all the tribes of Israel to build an house, that my name might be there; but I chose David to be over my people Israel.

17 Now it was in the heart of David my father to build an house for the name of the LORD, the God 18 of Israel. But the LORD said unto David my father, Whereas it was in thine heart to build an house for my name, thou didst well that it was in thine heart: 19 nevertheless thou shalt not build

the house; but thy son that shall come forth out of thy loins, he

his word that he spake; for I am risen up in the room of David my father, and sit on the throne of Israel, as the LORD promised, and have built the house for the name of the LORD, the God of 21 Israel. And there have I set a place for the ark, wherein is the covenant of the LORD, which he made with our fathers, when he brought them out of the land of Egypt.

O LORD, the God of Israel, there is no God like thee, in heaven above, or on earth beneath; who keepest covenant and mercy 'with thy servants, that walk before thee 24 with all their heart: who hast

kept with thy servant David my father that which thou didst promise him yea, thou spakest with thy mouth, and hast fulfilled it with thine hand, as it is this day. 25 Now therefore, O LORD, the God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that which thou hast promised him, saying, 'There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel; if only thy children take ✓ heed to their way, to walk before

And he stood before the altar of the LORD in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and 13 spread forth his hands: (for Solomon had made a brasen scaffold, of five cubits long, and five cubits broad, and three cubits high, and had set it in the midst of the court; and upon it he stood, and kneeled down upon his knees before all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth 14 his hands toward heaven :) and

he said, O LORD, the God of Israel, there is no God like thee, in the heaven, or in the earth; who keepest covenant and mercy 'with thy servants, that walk before thee with all their heart : 15 who hast kept with thy servant

David my father that which thou didst promise him: yea, thou spakest with thy mouth, and hast fulfilled it with thine hand, as it 16 is this day.
