PREFACE.

THIS Work being put forth for a particular purpose, which looks to its reception by the general reader, will need no apology for its slightness of texture. Its publication is intended by the Writer to further the means of supporting a second Daily School, which has lately been set up in a more remote quarter of his Parish, and is already working with most satisfactory effect.
