It would be easy to enlarge this Catalogue, but farther enumeration is unnecessary. Many other works are constantly cited or referred to in the GAZETTEER, and the List now given, in addition to these references, will at once indicate the labour and care bestowed on a work, the sole object of which is the illustration of Sacred History, and the Manners, Customs, and Traditions of the Ancient and Modern Oriental Nations.
