6 And he faid unto me, Solomon thy fon, he fhall build my houfe and my courts: for I have chofen him 10 be my fon, and I will be his father.

7 Moreover, I will eftablish his kingdom forever, if he be conftant to do my commandments and my judgments, as at this day.

8 Now therefore in the fight of all Ifrael, the congregation of the LORD, and in the audience of our God, keep and feek for all the commandments of the LORD your God: that ye may poffefs this good land, and leave it for an inheritance for your children after you forever.

18 And for the altar of incense refined gold by weight; and gold for the pattern of the chariot of the cherubims, that fpread out their wings, and covered the ark of the covenant of the LORD.

19 All this, faid David, the LORD made me underftand in writing by his hand upon me, even all the works of this pattern.

4Even three thousand talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir, and seven thoufand talents of refined filver, to overlay the walls of the houfes witbal:

5 The gold for things of gold, and the filver for things of filver,and for all manner of work to be made by the hands of artificers. And, Who then is willing to confecrate his fervice this day unto the LORD?

6 Then the chief of the fathers and princes of the tribes of Ifrael, and the captains of thoufands and of hundreds, with the rulers of the king's work, offer. ed willingly,

7 And gave for the fervice of the house of God, of gold five thousand talents and ten thousand drams, and of filver ten thoufand talents, and of brafs eighteen thousand talent, and one hundred thoufand talents of iron.

8 And they with whom precious tones were found gave them to the treafure of the houfe of the LORD, by the hand of Jehiel the Gerfhonite.

9 Then the people rejoiced, for that 20 And David faid to Solomon his fon, they offered willingly, becaufe with perBe ftrong and of good courage, and do it:fect heart they offered willingly to the fear not, nor be difmayed: for the LORD LORD and David the king alfo rejoiced God, even my God, will be with thee;with great joy. Ire will not fail thee, nor forfake thee, until thou haft finished all the work for the fervice of the houfe of the LORD.

21 And, behold, the courfes of the priests and the Levites, even they fball be with thee for all the fervice of the houfe of God and there fball be with thee for all manner of workmanship every willing fkilful man, for any manner of fervice: alfo the princes and all the people will be wholly at thy commandment.

CHAP. XXIX.

10 Wherefore David bleffed the LORD before all the congregation: and David faid, Bleffea be thou, LORD God of Ifrael our father, for ever and ever.

11 Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majefty for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lo D, and thou art exalted as head above all.

12 Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine 1David by his example caufeth the princes hand is power and might; and in thine and people to offer. 10 His thanksgiv-hand it is to make great, and to give ing. 26 His reign and death. ftrength unto all.

FÜRTHERMORE, David the king. faid unto all the congregation. Solomon my fon, whom God alone hath chofen, is yet young and tender, and the work is great for the palace is not for man, but for the LORD God.

18 Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.

14 But, Who am I? and, What is my peo ple, thatwe fhould be ableto offer fo willingly after this fort? For all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee.

15 For we are ftrangers before thee, and fojourners, as were all our fathers: our days on the earth are as a fhadow, and there is none abiding.

2 Now I have prepared with all my might for the houfe of my God, the gold for things to be made of gold and the filver for things of filver, and the brafs for things of brafs, the iron for 16 O LORD our God, all this ftore things of iron, and wood for things of that we have prepared to build thee an wood: onyx ftones, and stones to be fet, houfe, for thine holy name,comerb of thine gliflering ftones and of divers colours, hand, and is all thine own. and all manner of precious ftones, andj marble ftones in abundance.

17 I know alfo, my God. that thou trieft the heart, and haft pleasure in uprightness.
