THIS Volume of Sermons was first issued in 1868, and a second edition was printed in 1869. In compliance with the wishes of many friends, and in order to meet the enquiries frequently made for the book, a third edition is now published. Since the issue of the second edition, the Author has been called away from earthly labour to his rest above. In no portion of his work did he take more delight, throughout his ministerial course, than in addresses to the young. It was a task for which he was always ready, and in executing which he met with unusual success.
